Our Home

This is our little home and family at Stoneybrook. Our home doesn't consist of much and is made from sticks and mud, but our view is spectacular. The house took a bit to get used to, but it has been perfect and we are very happy to be living around such beauty.

our bedroom.  The bed is pretty neat with the head board consisting of rocks found in our stream! The logs at the botton and tree stump in the headboard were also found around our house.

We use our fire place every night in the winter because central heat does not exist. This fire place in necessary to keep us warm!!

The kitchen

This is a close up of what the exterior walls look like.

These are the lovely little centipedes that are on my walls ALL THE TIME! They creep up a lot after the rain. One we killed was about 6 inches long and a 1/4 thick!!! Yuck! If Dave is around I make him kill them, but unfortunately I have to deal with the things too. I don't have any pics of all the mice we killed! I have no idea how many, but yuck, they were living with us for a long time. Lots of spiders too! Africa really changed your living standards! Most things that grossed us out before really do not phase us much any more. We Americans truly live in luxory!

Can you see why we love it now? This is the Dam (Lake) that we see from our kitchen window.
