African Safari

This was the most amazing trip!! Our African safari took place with Jed and Jenna at a resort called "Amakhozi." It is one of the top game reserves in S.A. with a five star resort. It's very small, only fitting about 20 people, so it's like you are there by yourselves (so nice!). We spent two days there, which gave us four different trips to experience the wild life. They feed you wonderful food all day long and you see so many African animals. You would not believe how close you get to the animals! A lot of them would bump our vehicle. We will never forget this trip!

This was the 4X4 vehicle we were in. You have a spotter up front and then the driver on the look for wild life. We wondered how much he has to use that gun!

Jed and Jenna

Our first sight of elephants. Don't worry we got MUCH closer as the trip went on (almost too close!!).

Zebra

This is a wildebeest. The lion below had just killed him and was feasting away.

The lion was curious if we were going to mess with his meal. We kept very quiet assuring him we WERE NOT!

Jeds foot in elephant track!

Me in elephant track!

The giraffes were amazing! They are very beautiful..

This one got a little close.

Warthog

Ok, so this pack was a little scary. An entire herd came up the mountain and passed all around our vehicle. They were so close you could smell them. It all looks nice in a picture, but they are HUGE. A little scary, but amazing!

The sky was stunning!

The bugs are on steroids in SA!

Water buffalo

Pack of water buffalo.

This was the whole crew after our last trip. It was so much fun!
